I always begin by digging deep into the brand and the purpose of the project. The digging process always uncovers the big idea. Once that idea is discovered it makes every project both more effective and more beautiful.

Between Boeing and Starbucks over the last decade I have been using my design and leadership skills to help build the relationships needed to get positive business results—leaders in multiple business units and across the country like me and like my team’s work.

I have a positive and respectful, but firm leadership style

Whether it’s been through leading a talented creative team, the 18-person AIGA board, or through gathering a group of volunteers to run a national design conference, the people who report to me always feel pushed hard while remaining inspired and supported.
